This grand centre piece incorporates the intake of a Rolls Royce Avon engine from the 1950s. This one, specifically, was used in the Hawker Hunter ground attack aircraft. It has been lovingly stripped down and rebuilt over hundreds of hours and fashioned into this beautiful bespoke table. Its versatility means that it has a multi-purpose ranging from an exclusive dinning table to a dramatic corporate boardroom table.
It currently supports a toughened glass surface at 1.7m diameter with a cut-out of 0.6m diameter. It comfortably seats 6-8 people however this aspect can be tailored to the client and can accomodate up to a 2m diameter glass surface seating 8-10 people (with or without a cut-out). The table stands at just under 1m high however this too can be reduced to the clients specific requirements.
The centre piece consists of the central bearing on a central leg which the table can rotate on. As the table weighs in at over 150kg the rotational movement is incredibly smooth and silent. If required the rotational movement can be fixed.
There are 37 intake vanes, their angle can be adjusted by a sleek brass handle on the side of the table. The differing angles can produce dramatic changes in the reflection of light within.
Whether in a relaxed contemporary living environment or the dynamic world of the boardroom this table makes a fantastic functional feature as well as a great investment.
